Post-WW2/1950s British Airborne 2nd patt Denison Smock

Post-WW2/1950s British Airborne 2nd pattern Denison Smock, unfortunately label is a bit washed out and faded, you can just make out Smock and airborne. Unfortunately no date is legible but is definitely a post war 1950s example. Looks to be about a size 3, this fits me and I'm a 44inch chest and 5ft 8. The condition is best described as used and repaired.

It does have a couple small holes, one on the sleeve and one small repair to the front. The main repair to the back is a long repair to a rip, done nice and discreetly from the inside. The zip is the original flash zip in good working condition. The rest of the camo fabric is in nice worn condition. The back/crotch strap is present and in good condition with all "NEWEY" marked poppers in place. Original elasticated cuffs are in good condition to but with some small moth holes. This Denison smock does have a nice and interesting medication that was carried out and is found in official refords. On the lower back there is the additional of two zips that lead to 2 pockets. This modification was often done on smocks used by snipers, as they were laid on their front they couldn't access any pouches or pockets on their front. So they often had these pockets field fitted to carry ammunition and make it easier to access when laying down. Overall a very nice lovely worn and desirable smock. Would be ideal for a ww2/1950s airborne museum display/collection or for reinactor use. Any further questions or pictures wanted then just drop me a message and I'll try and help.
